This is a mid-century metal drop leaf typewriter table with swivel casters and cast iron wheel covers. We picked it up from a local garage sale and couldn’t wait to personalize the look.
We changed the finish from industrial office gray to an antique black appearance.
- Removed old gray paint with Jasco paint remover.
- Sanded, then sprayed with Rustoleum flat enamel.
- Roughed up edges with steel wool to give aged look.
- Sealed all surfaces with clear coat.
We are happy with the project outcome and think the stand is the perfect piece of furniture for our laptop.
