This small strongbox “safe” was manufactured by Bauche in Gueux, France and dates to around 1865. Auguste-Nicolas Bauche was an expert in fire-resistant materials and this safe still has its fire resistant interior. The lock box is made of steel and weighs approximately 28 pounds.
